"The posture becomes perfect when the effort of achieving it vanishes." Yogabhasya
Yoga is a Divine system of health and science of the mind and Self.
Yoga is a sacred art and total health science revealed by enlightened sages and masters thousands of years ago. The Sanskrit word Yoga means union – a spiritual discipline to harmonise the body, mind and spirit.
The emphasis of Hatha Yoga (from the path of Raja Yoga) is on physical postures (Asanas) and breathing exercices (Pranayama) which aim to still the mind, strengthen and revitalise the body and illuminate the spirit.
Through regular practise, Yoga brings endless physical benefits to the body including alleviated bodily tension, greater flexibility of the spine and all over toning and strengthening of the body.
This sacred practise goes so much deeper than just the physical and in each Yoga asana, Pranayama or Meditation technique we also access benefits on deep physiological, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual levels.
Yoga teaches a deep sense of body awareness and brings great physiological benefits ranging from improved hormonal balance; massaging and cleansing of internal organs and the calming of the Central Nervous System to reduce the effects of stress.
On a more subtle level, Yoga opens and balances our chakras (energy centres) of the astral body, bringing more freedom of energy, clarity of purpose and mind and allowing the practioner to vibrate with health and vitality!
Mentally, Yoga improves concentration and clarity as well as increases alertness and optimism. Emotionally, Yoga can help one feel more easeful, confident, motivated, relaxed, happy and balanced in life. Spiritually, one can start to let go of old patterns or blockages and start to open to the deep bliss within...
